A 48-time winner on the LPGA Tour, Nancy Lopez is one of golf's premier players.

She first started playing golf at age eight under the guidance of her father and by the time she turned 12, Nancy was on her way to becoming one of the best golfers of her day. She won the New Mexico Women's Amateur and twice won the USGA Junior Girls Championship. In 1975, she entered the U.S. Women's Open as an amateur and finished tied for second. She continued on her wildly successful amateur career until she turned pro in 1977. The pressures of playing professionally did not stop the Tulsa University Female Athlete of the Year from continuing her winning ways.

Nancy went on to win nine tournaments, including a record-setting five in a row in 1983, and became one of the top earners in the sport. In 1987, she became the 11th member to be inducted into the LPGA's Hall of Fame. The following year, she was named "Golfer of the Decade" by GOLF Magazine (for the years 1978-1988). In 1989, her accomplishments in women's golf were recognized again when she entered the PGA World Golf Hall of Fame.

Nancy is married to ESPN commentator Ray Knight and has four children. Today, she continues to dazzle fans both on and off the course with her incredible talent.
