One of the world's most famous models, Lauren Hutton is much more than just a pretty face.
Hutton began her modeling career in New York only as a means to pay for art school. She went on to appear on a record 25 Vogue magazine covers and in countless editorial campaigns. In 1974, she initiated the first exclusive talent contract in modeling history with Revlon. This contract changed modeling fees from hundreds to hundreds of thousands and ushered in the era of the Supermodel.
For the next decade, she modeled for Revlon, traveled the world and acted in such films as American Gigolo with Richard Gere, Little Faus and Big Halsy with Robert Redford and Once Bitten with Jim Carrey. Seeing a need for the image of mature women in advertising, Hutton returned to modeling in 1989. The timing was right and she has now worked with Barney's, J.Crew, Revlon and Regatta, among many others.
A supporter of numerous important causes, Hutton is a spokesperson for the National Breast Cancer Coalition, the New York Harbor Festival Foundation and the EPA. She is committed to the Women's Campaign Fund, a bi-partisan organization that raises money for progressive women in their bids for public office.
Hutton later became the spokeswoman for her own signature brand of cosmetics, Lauren Hutton's "Good Stuff", sold primarily via the Home Shopping Network in the USA as well as through numerous secondary distribution channels throughout Europe and South America.
