With more than two decades of business and financial experience, Karen Gibbs is a veteran business television anchor and correspondent.
From 2002 to 2005, Gibbs co-anchored the popular weekly PBS business program, Wall $treet Week With FORTUNE. Prior to this, she was at the forefront of television business coverage as a senior business correspondent for FOX Newschannel, contributing coverage to and serving as substitute anchor on Your World With Neil Cavuto and appearing as a regular panelist on Cavuto On Business. As an anchor at CNBC, Gibbs specialized in the credit and futures markets and was the host of Money Wheeland Minding Your Business.
Gibbs recently formed The Gibbs Perspective, a company concerned with and dedicated to the education and advocacy of the individual investor. In this online bi-weekly column, she provides clear and concise investment assessments coupled with ways one can profit in the current market. This column is designed to educate, inform and provoke thought and discussion.
Gibbs' journalistic prowess is backed by 10 years at Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc., where she was a vice president and senior futures strategist. At the Chicago Board of Trade, she was a board marker and left as a member of the Office of Investigations and Audits.
Gibbs is a graduate of Roosevelt University, where she earned a BS in business administration and she earned an MBA in finance and marketing from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
