Michelle Wie is one of the most captivating figures in professional golf today and draws tremendous interest amongst the golf and sports community. At age 10, she became the youngest player to qualify for the USGA amateur championship. As an amateur, Wie set numerous golf records, including: the youngest winner (male or female) of an adult USGA-sanctioned tournament, the youngest player to make a cut in an LPGA tournament and major; the youngest player to participate in an LPGA Tour event (age 14) and the lowest round by a female in a PGA Tour event.

A native of Hawaii, Wie turned pro in 2005 and became an official member of the LPGA Tour in 2009. As a professional, Wie has finished in the top five in four Major tournaments. As a new member of the LPGA Tour, she set off media frenzy that saw LPGA’s television ratings and website traffic skyrocketing. In 2006 Wie was named as one of TIME Magazine’s ‘one of 100 people who shape our world.’

Wie’s first win on the LPGA Tour came at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico in November of 2009. Other recent highlights include – representing the US at the 2009 Solheim Cup as the Captain’s Pick and a second place finish at the SBS Open in February 2009 on the North Shore of Oahu.
